Flexiv Robotics Technology Co., Ltd. was founded in Silicon Valley in 2016 by a Stanford team. The company is dedicated to the research and development of full-perception intelligent robots that integrate visual, tactile, and force feedback, and focuses on providing intelligent flexible automation solutions for the manufacturing and service industries. Since its inception, the company has secured investments of nearly ten million US dollars from top international venture capitalists, including GSR Ventures, Gaorong Capital, ZhenFund, MFund, and Shunwei Capital, and has created multiple core cutting-edge technologies with related patents. The team has steadily grown, attracting outstanding talents from prestigious universities and leading companies. The founding team possesses deep academic knowledge and product development experience across various fields of robotics, including actuator design, sensor design and fusion, simulation modeling and control, and the application of deep learning in robotics. The co-founder and CEO, Wang Shiquan, holds a Ph.D. from the Biomimetic and Dexterous Manipulation Laboratory (BDML) at Stanford University, has published nearly twenty papers in top international journals and conferences, and holds multiple Chinese and American technical invention patents. The co-founder and CTO, Ye Xiyang, holds a Ph.D. from the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and is a former researcher at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) in Singapore. The co-founder and Chief Robotics Scientist, Zhong Shuyun, is a postdoctoral fellow at the Stanford AI Lab and a visiting scholar at the Robotics Institute of Carnegie Mellon University. The co-founder and Chief AI Scientist, Lu Cewu, is a professor (researcher) at the Department of Computer Science at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, has published over thirty papers in top international journals and conferences, is a recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Award, and was previously a postdoctoral fellow at the Stanford AI Lab. The robots developed by the company have four key advantages: 1) simple and fast programming setup, reducing downtime and costs; 2) precise and intelligent force control, safer, more reliable, and applicable to a wider range of scenarios; 3) deep integration of artificial intelligence with adaptive capabilities to complete complex tasks; 4) self-developed key components, reducing costs by more than half. The company will start with industrial robots as an entry point, optimize manufacturing production lines, and accelerate the realization of intelligent Industry 4.0, while building technical reserves to expand into other industries in the future, including commercial robots, medical care robots, rescue robots, and home robots, becoming a core part of various robot products.
