Hunan Electric Power Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd. was established in 1994. Over the 20 years since its establishment, the company has consistently adhered to the policy of "reform and innovation, deepened management, and advancing with the times," actively advocated the concept of assuming social responsibility, and implemented standardized and high-quality supervision and consulting services. It has achieved the goal of undertaking supervision and consulting business across industries, provinces, and countries. Its current main businesses include supervision of power generation projects, power grid projects, and industrial and civil construction projects; design of power transmission and transformation projects; engineering consulting; and cost consulting. It is a secondary legal entity directly under Hunan Electric Power Company, operating independently and responsible for its own profits and losses. The company has cumulatively undertaken more than 2,500 engineering supervision projects, with a total project cost of 120 billion yuan, achieving good social and economic benefits. The company is moving toward becoming a first-class, credible, renowned engineering project management and consulting enterprise in China. In 2010, the company successively won the title of "Advanced Engineering Supervision Enterprise" from the China Construction Supervision Association and the title of "National Excellent Power Construction Supervision Enterprise" from the China Electric Power Construction Association; it also won the titles of "Outstanding Contribution Collective for UHV AC/DC Demonstration Project," "Advanced Unit for Cross-regional Power Grid Supervision," and "Advanced Collective for UHV Engineering Construction" from the State Grid Corporation of China; it also won the title of "Advanced Supervision Unit for Key Engineering Projects in Hunan Province" for 11 consecutive years. The 1000kV Jindongnan-Nanyang-Jingmen UHV AC Pilot Demonstration Project supervised by the company won the "2010 National Gold Award for Quality Engineering" issued by the National Engineering Construction Quality Award Review Committee, and the Datang Huainan Luohe Power Plant Phase III (2×600MW) project supervised by the company won the "2010 National Silver Award for Quality Engineering" issued by the National Engineering Construction Quality Award Review Committee. The overseas project—Turkey EREN (1+1) X600MW project—achieved the engineering construction goals of Unit 1 being handed over for production and Unit 2 being connected to the grid for power generation, and was highly praised by the owner and the general contractor. The company currently has 750 employees.
