Beijing National Day School was originally a school for children of the Central Military Commission. Established in 1952 under the care of Zhou Enlai, Luo Ronghuan and other old-generation revolutionaries, the school was named by Marshal Nie Rongzhen after the birthday of the People's Republic of China. The campus covers an area of 243 mu, featuring modern teaching buildings, a science museum, a library, an art museum, and a gymnasium, with a total building area of 156,000 square meters. The school currently has 23 special-grade teachers, 42 doctors, and 145 masters. Students demonstrate high overall quality, with about 100 students annually entering Peking University, Tsinghua University, or prestigious overseas universities (ranked among the top 100 globally).

In recent years, our curriculum system has become increasingly complete. We have introduced Cambridge A-Level International High School courses and American high school courses with high starting points, and have offered the American AP (Advanced Placement) program. In 2012, we will fully launch the IB program.
