China Railway Guangzhou Engineering Group Port & Waterway Engineering Co., Ltd. is a leading water engineering enterprise under China Railway Group Limited, a world-renowned construction contractor, and is a subsidiary of China Railway Guangzhou Engineering Group. The company's predecessor was the Naval Garrison Force of the People's Liberation Army, affiliated with the Navy Logistics Department. In 1996, upon approval by the Navy Logistics Department, Guangdong Zhonghai Engineering Bureau was registered and established in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. In 2008, with the approval of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the enterprise was wholly reorganized and merged into China Railway Group, establishing China Railway Guangzhou Engineering Group Co., Ltd. In April 2011, China Railway Guangzhou Engineering Group Port & Waterway Engineering Co., Ltd. was registered in Guangzhou, with its registered address in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province.
As a leading water engineering enterprise under China Railway Group, the company has a professional water engineering subsidiary and a vessel business division. Its subsidiaries undertake professional construction projects such as port and coastal engineering, waterway dredging, blasting and demolition, large-scale earth and rock works, mining and stripping, and vessel management and leasing.

It has successively won over 40 national, industry, and association awards, among which the one-time blasting on Huizhou Zhimazhou Island, using 3,250 tons of explosives, won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award and the first prize of the Ministry of Water Resources Science and Technology Progress Award. In recent years, the company has achieved multiple national patents, and its technical capabilities in offshore construction and onshore blasting are at a leading level.
The company possesses various advanced construction equipment, including more than 20 large and medium-sized offshore construction vessels such as an 83-meter piling vessel, a 3,700-ton semi-submersible barge, a 4,500 m³ self-propelled trailing suction hopper dredger, an 18-cubic-meter grab dredger, crane vessels, reef blasting vessels, tugboats, and flat-top barges. The company is also equipped with advanced detection equipment such as multibeam echo sounders, sub-bottom profilers, underwater robots, and dual-frequency RTK, providing reliable guarantees for high-quality, high-efficiency, and high-standard engineering construction.
