Wuhan MEMSonics Technology Co., Ltd. (MEMSonics) was co-founded in 2019 by Professor Sun Chengliang of Wuhan University together with 14 internationally renowned industry experts. The company is dedicated to the manufacturing of wireless RF front-end filters and the implementation of their product application solutions. Its products also cover piezoelectric microphones and ultrasonic sensors. It is an IDM/CIDM company integrating design, production, and sales.
The company operates in the RF filter sector of the semiconductor industry, where domestic substitution is urgently needed. The company's proprietary bulk acoustic wave (BAW) wireless RF front-end filter is a product with high technical barriers and high value among RF filters. The company's founder, Professor Sun Chengliang, is a leader of a Category A discipline at Wuhan University, a second-level professor, doctoral supervisor, provincial specially appointed expert, and chief scientist of a National Key R&D Program. He has 22 years of experience in the design and process of piezoelectric acoustic components.
Employees with a master's degree or above account for 58% of the company, and R&D personnel account for 64%. In the BAW filter field, the company has the most complete IDM team in China's BAW filter sector, including renowned chip design and application experts and process engineering experts.
