The laboratory is a public institution invested by the provincial government, established on February 18, 2021, with a total investment of 8.2 billion yuan. The FAB covers an area of 150 mu, including a 9,000 square meter cleanroom and first-class compound semiconductor process, testing, and materials platforms. The 4/6/8 inch process platforms are fully compatible, with full coverage of third-generation semiconductor materials and equipment, and scalable capabilities for next-generation semiconductor equipment.
At the same time, it focuses on the R&D and innovation of compound semiconductors, targeting application scenarios such as optoelectronic chips, power electronic devices, wireless interconnect chips, and MEMS. It possesses process capabilities for compound semiconductor devices such as gallium nitride (GaN), silicon carbide (SiC), indium phosphide (InP), and gallium arsenide (GaAs).
