Ningbo Lygend Resources Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 2009, with its headquarters located on the beautiful coast of the East China Sea - Ningbo, Zhejiang. The company was listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on December 1, 2022 (stock code: 02245.HK). Lygend Resources is a service provider in the entire nickel industry chain, having achieved a leading position in the production and trading of nickel products. The company has mastered complete nickel production processes including pyrometallurgy and hydrometallurgy, and is one of the earliest Chinese enterprises to simultaneously deploy both pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical projects in Indonesia. Its business covers multiple industrial segments including upstream nickel product trading, smelting production, equipment manufacturing, and logistics/shipping. Its products are widely used in downstream sectors such as new energy vehicles and stainless steel.

In nickel ore trading, Lygend Resources is China's largest nickel ore resource trader, ranking first for multiple consecutive years. In nickel ore hydrometallurgy, the HPAL nickel-cobalt project is a major construction project under Zhejiang Province's 'Belt and Road' initiative, with an annual production capacity of 240,000 tons of nickel sulfate and 30,000 tons of cobalt sulfate. In pyrometallurgy, Lygend operates three internationally mainstream RKEF production lines at its Suqian plant in China, with an annual production capacity of 150,000 tons of ferronickel. In the second half of 2019, Lygend initiated the RKEF pyrometallurgical nickel metal smelting project on OBI Island, Indonesia. The OBI Industrial Park will have a total of 20 ferronickel production lines. As of May 2023, all 8 production lines of the first phase of pyrometallurgy have been put into operation, and the remaining 12 production lines are being advanced in an orderly manner. By that time, the annual production capacity of nickel metal at the OBI Industrial Park will exceed 400,000 tons.
