Earnings amounted to SEK 13,832 million. Scania was founded in 1891, operates in more than 100 countries and regions, and has approximately 52,000 employees worldwide.
Research and development centers are located in Sweden, with branches in Brazil and India. Production units are concentrated in Europe, Latin America, and Asia, with regional production centers also in Africa, Asia, and Eurasia. Scania is a member of the TRATON SE group.

In 2004, Scania established a representative office in China, and in 2007, Scania Sales (China) Co., Ltd. was founded. In 2010, based on confidence in the Chinese market and a strategy of long-term development rooted in China, the Scania Group established a China Strategic Center in China. In 2016, Scania China transferred its headquarters functions to Shanghai. In 2018, the new-generation Scania, embodying ten years of R&D efforts and an investment of SEK 20 billion, was launched in China.
In November 2020, Scania Manufacturing (China) Co., Ltd. was registered and established in Rugao City, Nantong, Jiangsu. Over the next 3 to 5 years, Nantong Rugao will become Scania's third-largest production and manufacturing center after Europe and Latin America. Let us work together to create the future.
