It mainly engages in the research and development, production, and sales of lithium battery cathode materials. Its products are widely used in consumer electronic products, such as mobile phones, laptop computers, and other mobile digital devices, as well as in the new energy electric vehicle market and other large power sources, secondary charging, and energy storage fields. The Company has more than 1,800 employees. It has wholly-owned subsidiaries, "BASF Shanshan Battery Materials (Ningxiang) Co., Ltd." and "BASF Shanshan Battery Materials (Ningxia) Co., Ltd.". The Company possesses core technological advantages and sustainable R&D capabilities, with a research institute integrating product R&D, experimental verification, and analysis and testing. The research institute has a total investment of RMB 270 million, and currently has 240 R&D technical personnel. A comprehensive R&D system and a strong R&D team continuously enhance the Company's R&D technology level.
The Company will facilitate and benefit from the complementary strengths of BASF and Shanshan in cathode material R&D innovation and product portfolios. Additionally, leveraging BASF's advantages in global automotive cooperation resources, global industrial layout, core patent technology licensing, and international brand influence, the Company will rapidly integrate into the international market, especially in the electric vehicle sector, advance its overseas market expansion and customer structure optimization, improve its profitability and market share, and promote BASF's global business layout for cathode materials, becoming a global supplier of cathode materials.
