Beijing Qingshang Architectural Decoration Engineering Co., Ltd. is an enterprise qualified with Grade I qualification for construction and decoration engineering construction and Grade A qualification for design, approved by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. Its predecessor was the Environmental Art Design and Engineering Company of the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts. After the enterprise restructuring in September 2001, it was controlled by Tsinghua University, and in the same year, the trademark "Tsinghua Art & Craft" was registered. In June 2005, the enterprise was renamed to Beijing Qingshang Architectural Decoration Engineering Co., Ltd. Currently, the enterprise has a registered capital of 110 million yuan, possesses the first batch of AAA-level credit rating in the national building decoration industry, and has passed ISO9001 Quality Management System, GB/T28001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, and ISO14001 Environmental Management System certifications. It has been recommended as one of China's top 100 building decoration enterprises by the China Building Decoration Association for many consecutive years. Relying on the academic research strength of Tsinghua University, the Qingshang Company has completed a number of influential engineering projects in the fields of museums, office spaces, commercial spaces, hotels and apartments, environmental landscapes, and artistic furnishings. The enterprise adheres to the business philosophy of "people-oriented, design leadership, innovation, and pursuit of perfection", providing high-quality products to all customers with thoughtful service. The Qingshang Company has undertaken important projects such as the Red Mansion Memorial Hall of Peking University, the Nanhu Revolutionary Memorial Hall, the Nanchang Uprising Revolutionary Memorial Hall, the Zunyi Conference Memorial Hall, the Xiangshan Red Memorial Hall, the Mao Zedong Cultural Relics Hall, the Deng Xiaoping Memorial Hall, the Great Hall of the People, the National Art Museum of China, the New Capital Museum, the National Museum of Modern Chinese Literature, the New Poly Plaza, and the Shanghai Poly Grand Theatre. In terms of industry, academia, research, and application, the Qingshang Company and the Academy of Arts & Design of Tsinghua University have cooperatively completed the Shanghai World Expo Future Pavilion, the China Pavilion at the Milan World Expo, the International Pavilion at the International Horticultural Exposition, as well as a large number of important national tasks for the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, the General Office of the State Council, the Supreme People's Court, the All-China Women's Federation, and the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center. The Qingshang Company has won many awards such as the "China Construction Luban Prize", the "National Building Decoration Engineering Award", and the "National Top Ten Display and Exhibition Excellence Awards" multiple times. In 2018, the Ministry of Education carried out deepening reforms on university-affiliated enterprises nationwide. Representative key universities such as Peking University and Tsinghua University transferred all or most of their equity in controlled or participated enterprises to state-owned enterprises in the same industry in society, and the universities no longer control or hold equity in the enterprise groups. In August 2020, Tsinghua Holdings Habitat and Human Settlement Group approved the plan for deepening the reform of Qingshang Company. In 2021, in accordance with the national requirements for deepening reforms of university-affiliated enterprises, the Qingshang Company transformed towards a more specialized and market-oriented approach. After Tsinghua University withdrew from being the controlling shareholder of its university-affiliated enterprises, Qingshang integrated its business layout, further aimed at "building a well-known brand for museum exhibition in China", actively created conditions to continue the cooperation between the university and the enterprise, strived to build a new bridge between academic research and market practice, continued to serve the discipline development of the Academy of Arts & Design of Tsinghua University, serve the transformation of achievements and social practice, and serve the cultivation of research-oriented talents. In order to continue supporting the better development of Qingshang and conducting in-depth cooperation, Tsinghua University officially approved the establishment of the Tsinghua University - Qingshang Joint Research Institute for Smart Scenario Innovation Design on April 19, 2022. The Research Institute for Smart Scenario Innovation Design explores and creates various smart scenarios, creates smart scenario models belonging to China, leads China's research on smart scenario design, provides solutions for China's future smart scenario design, and also adds technological driving force to the next step of development for Qingshang and the industry. The Research Institute for Smart Scenario Innovation Design will actively promote the mutual combination and transformation of high-level artistic design achievements and technological achievements. It is a cross-disciplinary integration design, development and application platform of Tsinghua University, actively serving the university's "Double First-Class" discipline construction goals, and contributing to the national cultural development strategy.
