Established in 1956 and located in the Electronic City Science and Technology Park, Chaoyang District, Beijing, the 11th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation is a comprehensive research institute engaged in laser and infrared technology. It is a national first-class key scientific research institution and the supporting unit of the National Key Laboratory of Solid-State Laser Technology. Its products mainly include laser and infrared materials, devices, complete machines, and systems. The institute covers an area of 52,000 square meters. It has over 1,000 employees, including more than 700 engineering and technical personnel, among whom there is 1 academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 1 doctoral supervisor, over 30 master's supervisors, over 30 professor-level senior engineers, and over 120 senior engineers. The institute has successively obtained certifications such as the GJB9001B-2009 quality management system certification, the GB/T28001-2011 occupational health and safety management system certification, and the national first-class qualification certification.
