El Puerto de Liverpool S.A.B. de C.V. was founded in 1847 by Jean Baptiste Ebrard, who first started selling fine fabrics in the centre of Mexico City. In 1872, he began to import merchandise from Europe shipped from the port of Liverpool, England, prompting his founder to adopt the name Liverpool fhis store.

Liverpool has had an outstanding corporate growth by always being a company with vision. In 2022 established Liverpool Asia Sourcing Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.in Shanghai.
