Sinosteel Mining Research Institute

Founded in August 1963, Sinosteel Ma'anshan Mining Research Institute was a key research institute directly under the former Ministry of Metallurgical Industry of the People's Republic of China. It is a large-scale comprehensive research and development organization in the field of metallurgical mining in China, one of the earliest units approved by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council to confer master's degrees, and one of the first units approved by the then Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation to have the right to self-manage import and export. In July 1999, it was transformed into a technology-based enterprise. Sinosteel Ma'anshan Mining Research Institute is a key high-tech enterprise under the National Torch Plan and a high-tech enterprise in Anhui Province. It mainly engages in the research and development of technologies related to mineral resources, the development and utilization of mineral resources, and the consulting, evaluation, design, and general contracting of mining and public engineering projects. It is a comprehensive scientific research institution with complete disciplines related to non-coal solid mines and related fields, a relatively concentrated pool of talents, supporting experimental equipment, and an initial production scale.
