Nuo Yi Biopharmaceutical Joint-stock Co., Ltd. is a state-owned designated production enterprise for national blood products under the General Technology Group, focusing on the research, development, production, and sales of blood products. Nuo Yi Biopharmaceutical was founded in 1986, formerly the Shanghai Xinxing Blood Products Research Institute of the General Logistics Department. In August 2000, it was restructured by China Xinxing Group Corporation as a state-owned joint-stock company. In November 2009, the company was reorganized into China General Technology Group with the overall restructuring of China Xinxing Group. Since 2015, it has been managed by China Pharmaceuticals (600056), a subsidiary of General Technology Group. In March 2023, through internal equity transfer, it is now managed by General Technology Group Capital Co., Ltd., making it a third-level subsidiary of General Technology Group. The company's main blood products are national strategic reserve drugs and life-saving medicines for rare diseases such as hemophilia and Kawasaki disease, as well as severe clinical infections. Currently, it offers all three major categories of products: human serum albumin, immunoglobulins, and coagulation factors, comprising 11 varieties and 30 specifications, ranking among the forefront of the industry in terms of variety and specification count. Its research and development products have been recognized as key products and high-tech achievement transformation projects in Shanghai, and have been included in the national and Shanghai Torch Plans, national science and technology innovation projects, and Shanghai high-tech achievement transformation projects. The company has been successively recognized by the Shanghai Municipal Government as a Shanghai High-tech Enterprise, a Pudong New Area Enterprise R&D Institution, and a Shanghai Enterprise Technology Center, and has established a postdoctoral research station and an academician expert workstation. In June 2024, the construction of Nuo Yi Biopharmaceutical's new production base project was initiated. Located in Maqiao Town, Minhang District, Shanghai, covering 80 mu, with an initial designed plasma processing capacity of 500-800 tons per year, it is scheduled for completion and operation in 2027. Once completed, it will become a first-class blood product production base with leading product categories and comprehensive processing capabilities in the industry, featuring a high level of intelligence and informatization. The project has been listed as a major project of Minhang District and a major industrial project of Shanghai's biomedical industry.
