Shenzhen Institute of Standards and Technology was established in 1984 and is directly under the Shenzhen Municipal Market Supervisory Authority. It is a quasi-public welfare scientific research institution in Shenzhen specializing in standardization research, services and application. It is also the National European Standard Research Center approved by the Standardization Administration of China, the domestic technical counterpart unit of the International Organization for Standardization Development Committee (ISO/DEVCO), the National Technical Standard Innovation Base and the International Standardization Talent Training Base, etc. It is the 99th WTO Information Inquiry Service Center in the world, and bears the plaques of the Shenzhen Branch of the National Organization Code Management Center, the Shenzhen Branch of China Article Numbering Center and other technical institutions.
