厦门长庚医院系台塑关系企业董事长王永庆先生，在大陆创设的*家三級综合医院，占地70公顷，建筑面积23万余平方米，医院总投资预计为18亿元人民币。医院于2008 年l月15日通过三级医院验收开始营运，已成为医保定点、工伤定点、公务员体检定点、省医保联网定点的医疗机构。
初期开放31个临床医技科室、501张病床，19层住院大楼已竣工投入使用，开放病床数达2,000张、手术室达48间，医疗区面积总计达到226,681平方米。
我院坚持“以人为本、病患优先”的服务理念，率先实施住院不收保证金制度；推行主诊医师负责制，对病患实行全程照护；合理用药等费用、质量管理措施，提高诊疗质量，降低医疗费用，缩短住院天数；更建立全院医院信息管理系统，实现无片化、无纸化之医疗环境。
以台湾长庚医院坚强医疗专业为后盾，持续交流、互动，将台湾长庚医疗特色在我院展开，包括：颅颜唇颚裂医疗团队、心导管介入团队、癫痫与帕金森医疗团队、人工电子耳蜗医疗团队、脊柱相关疾病治疗团队、关节运动伤害相关疾病治疗团队、乳癌治疗团队、心脏手术治疗团队、癌症治疗团队、肝病治疗团队，未来朝移植发展，目前已取得人工电子耳蜗治疗定点医院及心脏介入治疗资质。
