Shenyang North Traffic Heavy Industry Group is located in the Shenyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, which is designated by the State Council as the "dual demonstration park" for national equipment manufacturing. After nearly 40 years of industrial accumulation, relying on long-term high-end technical accumulation and strong market foundation, the Group has formed a "3+1" industrial layout centered on road construction and maintenance machinery, engineering construction machinery, engineering vehicle manufacturing, and coal mining and metallurgical machinery. It is a manufacturing base for engineering machinery and special modified vehicles in Northeast China.
North Traffic has always adhered to the concept of "technology drives industrial progress" and has established a corporate technology R&D center composed of 28 research institutes, with "academician workstations" and "post-doctoral research workstations." The Group has independently developed more than 400 products in 6 categories and 30 product directions, including coal roadheaders, underground drilling rigs, mining vehicles, road wreckers, road maintenance vehicles, aerial work vehicles, and truck cranes. North Traffic has now become a national innovative pilot enterprise, a national high-tech enterprise, a unit undertaking major national 863 scientific and technological research projects, a key support unit for national development and reform commission treasury bond projects, and a key supporting enterprise for the national "12th Five-Year Plan" major scientific and technological research projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology. In the comprehensive competitiveness ranking of China's top 500 enterprise groups published by the National Bureau of Statistics, North Traffic ranks 196th.
In March 2022, the expert demonstration meeting for the large-scale intelligent equipment project for coal mines, co-hosted by Shenyang North Traffic Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd. and Shenyang SIASUN Robot & Automation Co., Ltd., was grandly held in Shenyang. More than a hundred distinguished guests from relevant national ministries, industry associations, local governments, research institutions, coal production enterprises, and related fields attended the meeting. Du Xianjun, General Manager of Huawei Coal Mine Corps, attended and spoke at the demonstration meeting, expressing great expectation to work with North Traffic and SIASUN Robot in the field of mine intelligence, based on the mine intelligent solutions of the Mine HarmonyOS ecosystem, to jointly tackle core key technologies in mine intelligent construction, achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, and promote the construction of intelligent mines.
North Traffic strives to gradually achieve a production value of 10 billion yuan, relying on emerging strategic industries and high-tech industries such as artificial intelligence, new energy, new materials, and unmanned driving. It aims to build two industrial bases for engineering construction machinery and coal mining and metallurgical machinery, as well as a corporate technology center and a sales service center with a scale of a thousand people, creating a well-known brand of intelligent high-end national industry.
