Hunan CNNC Geotechnical Engineering Co., Ltd. was formerly known as the 709 Survey Brigade of the Second Ministry of Machine Building Industry, and was successively renamed as the Southern Branch of the Fourth Survey Institute of Nuclear Industry, Hengyang Nuclear Industry Survey Co., Ltd., and the Geotechnical Engineering Branch of Hunan Nuclear Industry Construction Co., Ltd. In August 2014, it was approved by the Geology and Mining Business Department of CNNC and established after restructuring, reorganization and separation. It has won ministerial-level excellent survey awards many times, and has made due contributions to China's nuclear industry and local economic construction over the years. Hunan CNNC Geotechnical Engineering Co., Ltd. is mainly engaged in geotechnical engineering survey (including geotechnical engineering design and construction, testing, monitoring, geophysical prospecting, and surveying), foundation and foundation engineering, and other construction engineering construction. It holds a Grade A qualification in engineering survey (geotechnical engineering) issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, construction labor qualification, Grade C surveying and mapping qualification, professional contracting for foundation and foundation engineering, and general contracting for construction. The company has established three office centers in Changsha, Hengyang, and Guangzhou, and has set up multiple branches in Hunan, Hubei, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Guizhou and other provinces. The company is an internship base for the University of South China, South China University of Technology, and Hunan Institute of Technology, and has signed a horizontal cooperation agreement on geotechnical engineering research topics with the University of South China. Many people have been employed as part-time professors and instructors for undergraduates and master's students at the above universities. Hunan CNNC Geotechnical Engineering Design and Research Institute was established by Hunan CNNC Geotechnical Engineering Co., Ltd.
