China Railway Construction Investment Corporation is a national railway investment institution wholly funded and established by China Railway Corporation. The predecessor of the company was the China Railway Construction and Development Center, an enterprise established in 1994 by the former Ministry of Railways with investment, oriented toward investment management of some joint-venture railways and local railways nationwide, and it adopted its current name in 2004. The company is a legal entity operating independently and keeping separate accounts, with a registered capital of 111.36 billion yuan. Authorized by China Railway Corporation, the company performs the duties of investor representative, mainly undertaking equity financing for railway projects and managing project investments. The company holds national *** bidding qualifications and engineering consulting qualifications, is a member unit of the Beijing Property Rights Exchange and the Shanghai United Assets and Equity Exchange, holds *** qualifications for property rights transactions, and provides quality services to clients.
