Company Profile: Through a secondary restructuring of the equity of Beijing Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Co., Ltd., Air China Limited and Lufthansa German Airlines established the new Beijing Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Co., Ltd. (referred to as "New Ameco", with Air China holding 75% and Lufthansa holding 25%). New Ameco, headquartered in Beijing, oversees the Beijing Base and nine branch companies in Chengdu, Chongqing, Hangzhou, Tianjin, Hohhot, Shanghai, Guiyang, Wuhan, and Guangzhou. With over 11,000 employees, the company boasts a team of highly skilled engineers who provide services including line maintenance, heavy maintenance and painting, engine overhaul, component repair, landing gear overhaul, business jet services, engineering technical support, personnel training, and ground equipment calibration for airlines. It is a Designated Engineering Representative (DER) authorized by the Civil Aviation Administration of China for modification design of civil aircraft. *Additionally, it holds maintenance licenses issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and nearly 30 other countries or regions, making it a comprehensive maintenance enterprise offering line maintenance, heavy maintenance, and other multi-product services. With over 160 domestic and international maintenance stations, multiple large hangars, and advanced aircraft maintenance facilities, it provides a maintenance service network radiating to both domestic and international locations. In addition to ensuring the normal operations of the entire fleet of its shareholder Air China, it also provides maintenance services to nearly 100 domestic and international customers. The company houses the only training center in China certified with EASA147 and operates the largest hangar in Asia (A380 hangar), integrated into Lufthansa Technik's global network. The company emphasizes technological innovation, with hundreds of R&D projects having won national or CAAC science and technology awards, filling many technical gaps in China's civil aviation maintenance industry.
