Shanghai Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as "Shanghai Advanced", stock code 03355), was established in 1988 as a Sino-Dutch joint venture under the name Shanghai Philips Semiconductor Company, renamed Shanghai Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in 1995, and restructured into Shanghai Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Joint-stock) in 2004.

Located in Caohejing Hi-Tech Park, Xuhui District, Shanghai, Shanghai Advanced is a large-scale integrated circuit chip manufacturing company. Currently, the company operates 5-inch, 6-inch, and 8-inch wafer production lines and one dedicated MEMS production line, focusing on the manufacturing of analog circuits, power devices, and MEMS chips, with an annual production of nearly 800,000 large-scale integrated circuit chips. It has been recognized as a "High-Tech Enterprise" by the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission. Meanwhile, the company has passed certifications for ISO9001, VDA6.3 (Grade A), ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001, ISO/IEC 27001, and other quality, environment, and information security management system certifications, making it one of the earliest domestic enterprises engaged in the manufacturing of automotive electronic chips, IGBT chips, and MEMS chips. Leveraging over twenty years of chip manufacturing experience, advanced process equipment, and a strict quality management system, the company has achieved a leading position in the foundry field of analog circuits and power device chips through introduction, digestion, absorption, and innovation.
