Yunnan Walvax Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Walvax Biotechnology" or "the Company"), established in 2001, is a high-tech biopharmaceutical enterprise specializing in human vaccines, integrating research and development, production, and sales. It holds a leading position in the segmented field of biotechnological drugs represented by novel vaccines. On November 12, 2010, the Company was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (stock code: 300142), becoming the first ChiNext-listed company in Yunnan.
The Company's headquarters is located in Kunming City, Yunnan Province, China. It is committed to the research and development of innovative vaccines, with R&D investment accounting for over 20% of revenue for many consecutive years, ranking among the top three in the industry. It has now established mature and stable bacterial vaccine technology platforms and recombinant protein vaccine technology platforms, and has gradually built mRNA vaccine technology platforms and recombinant adenovirus vaccine technology platforms through joint efforts with partners. Currently, the Company has obtained approval for marketing 8 vaccine varieties (14 specifications). In addition, a COVID-19 variant mRNA vaccine (Omicron XBB.1.5) was approved for emergency use in December 2023, making the Company the domestic enterprise with the most comparative advantages in the number of self-developed vaccine products and variety layout. As of December 31, 2025, the cumulative number of product batch releases has exceeded 360 million doses (bottles). The Company is the first in China and the second globally to independently develop and successfully market a 13-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine, which has maintained a leading market share in China since 2021. The Company is also the second in China and the fourth globally to independently develop and successfully market a bivalent HPV vaccine, which passed WHO PQ certification on August 2, 2024, marking another important milestone in the Company's international business expansion. Furthermore, the Company's COVID-19 variant mRNA vaccine (Omicron XBB.1.5) is also the first COVID-19 mRNA vaccine in China targeting current variants such as XBB, approved for emergency use based on complete Phase III safety and efficacy data through immunogenicity bridging clinical trials.
The Company actively seizes opportunities in national strategic emerging industries, comprehensively coordinates resource conditions, industrial factors, and capability advantages. In the field of biomanufacturing, it has laid out product pipelines including nutrients, active ingredients of natural products, and functional proteins, and is steadily advancing R&D and industrialization. Meanwhile, in the field of gut microbiota, the Company has begun implementing a dual-track layout of "disease treatment intervention" and "chronic disease prevention and treatment + comprehensive health nutrition," aiming to establish comprehensive health solutions covering in-hospital treatment, out-of-hospital management, and multi-scenario intervention. At present, this project has entered the implementation stage. The Company will fully leverage its existing R&D and industrialization capabilities and advantages, concentrate resources to promote project implementation, expand its business areas and product pipelines, strive to open up new business growth curves, and contribute to the Company's long-term sustainable development.
