CCCC Highway Consultants Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as GHI), founded in 1954, was formerly the Highway Planning and Design Institute of the Ministry of Communications. In 1999, it was restructured and merged into China Road and Bridge (Group) Corporation, and is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Communications Construction Co., Ltd.
Over more than 60 years since its establishment, through the unremitting exploration and continuous innovation of several generations, GHI has achieved a transition from a single industry chain to a full industry chain (planning and strategy, feasibility studies, investment and financing, survey and design, engineering construction, operation and maintenance, asset disposal), and from domestic to international markets, and from highways to the broader civil engineering industry, establishing a full-lifecycle, whole-process integrated consulting service industry pattern for infrastructure.
The company holds qualifications for foreign contracted engineering projects, engineering consulting certificates, comprehensive engineering survey certificates, urban and rural planning certificates, land planning certificates, highway industry engineering design certificates, municipal industry engineering design certificates, construction industry architectural professional engineering design certificates, highway and waterway testing bridge and tunnel special certificates, highway and bridge engineering construction supervision certificates, landscape and greening design qualifications, electronic engineering design certificates, computer information system integration qualification (for big data company; Level 4);
It has taken the lead in compiling the Ministry of Transport's "Technical Regulations for Highway Bridge Structure Monitoring Systems" and "Design Specifications for Safety Operation Monitoring Systems of Highway Bridge Structures"; and participated in compiling the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development's "Technical Code for Monitoring of Building and Bridge Structures" GB50982-2014 and other monitoring-related standards.
