广东狮子会于2002年成立，在广东省民政厅登记注册，是借鉴国际狮子会的运作管理模式的新型公益慈善服务组织，秉承“正己助人，服务社会”的宗旨，发扬人道主义精神，积极参与助残、助学、敬老、恤孤、扶贫、环保、医疗卫生、社区服务、应急救灾等社会公益事业，并先后获得国务院授予的“全国扶残助残先进集体”和广东省委、省政府授予的“广东省广州亚运会亚残运会先进集体”、“2012责任中国•公益组织奖”等荣誉。
