Guangzhou Performance and Film Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), formerly known as Guangzhou Performance Company and Guangzhou Film Company, was established in 1956 under the supervision of Guangzhou Municipal Culture Bureau. The former Guangzhou Municipal Culture Bureau served as the professional guidance unit. In December 2008, it was restructured into Guangzhou Performance and Film Co., Ltd., with the professional guidance provided by Guangzhou Municipal Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau. Rooted in Guangzhou's cultural industry for over sixty years, the Company is a major backbone enterprise in the film and performance markets in the Guangzhou region, possessing irreplaceable unique advantages and leading the fashion of urban cultural entertainment and consumption in Guangzhou. It has transitioned from a single business of performances and films to a diversified operation focusing on performances and screenings, complemented by multiple businesses, becoming a cultural entertainment venue with multi-functional services. The Company primarily engages in the operation and management of municipal cinemas and theaters, as well as children's troupe performances, performance brokerage, dance training, film distribution, and property leasing. Currently, it operates six cinemas and theaters in Guangzhou city proper, one children's training center, and one children's art troupe. It holds controlling interests in Guangzhou Jinying Rural Digital Cinema Circuit Co., Ltd. and Guangdong Yulei Campus Cinema Circuit Co., Ltd. It owns self-copyrighted children's plays including "The Legend of Guangzhou: Adventure of Sheep and Goat", "The Legend of Guangzhou: Adventure of Chicken and Pineapple", "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", and "Nils' Wild Goose Adventure", as well as co-produced plays such as "Clever Ikkyu" and "Magic Hair Little Princess".
