Aerospace Institute No.12

China Aerospace Systems Science and Engineering Institute (the 12th Research Institute of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation) is a directly affiliated unit of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. It was restructured and established on the basis of five former public institutions, including the former China Aerospace Engineering Consulting Center, Beijing Information Control Research Institute (Institute 710), Aerospace Information Center (Aerospace Institute 707), and Aerospace Economic Research Center. It comprises 8 research institutes and 5 wholly-owned (or holding) companies. The institute is an early explorer and practitioner of Qian Xuesen's systems engineering ideas, theories, and methods, and has long been committed to providing intellectual and wisdom support for the development of aerospace and various undertakings. Under the strategic positioning of building a "domestic first-class, internationally renowned think tank", it has formed a pattern where the three main business lines of "Aerospace Consulting", "Aerospace IT", and "Technology Transfer Services" operate in a coordinated manner. "Aerospace Consulting" is dedicated to playing a "think tank" and "advisory group" role in the construction of a space power and support for national development, providing strategic and intelligence research, systems engineering and equipment demonstration, economic and industrial analysis, enterprise management consulting, engineering consulting, and other decision-making support and consulting services. "Aerospace IT" aims to become a leading provider of full-chain informatization products and services, with overall design as the leading factor and information security as a distinctive feature, offering informatization overall design, software and hardware product development, information system integration and operation and maintenance, software testing, and information system security assessment. "Technology Transfer Services" is dedicated to transforming aerospace scientific and technological innovation achievements into momentum for economic and social development, providing intellectual property research and analysis, patent agency consulting, technological achievement transfer, aerospace spirit and cultural dissemination, and printing and design services.
