Shanghai Construction No.4 (Group) Co., Ltd., established in February 1964, is affiliated with Shanghai Construction Co., Ltd. and is a national general contracting enterprise for building engineering construction with special qualification, as well as a class-A design enterprise for the construction industry (building engineering). The Group also holds first-class qualifications for general contracting of municipal public works, and multiple professional contracting qualifications including foundation and ground treatment, building decoration and renovation, attached lifting scaffolding, steel structures, and mechanical and electrical equipment installation. It has passed certifications for Quality Management System, Occupational Health and Safety Management System, and Environmental Management System.
The Group currently employs over 2,300 staff, with more than 80% being engineering, technical, and economic management personnel. The registered capital is RMB 500 million, with total assets approaching RMB 9 billion. Its annual business volume has exceeded RMB 10 billion for five consecutive years, with annual output value exceeding RMB 15 billion, and annual construction capacity exceeding 10 million square meters.
Relying on strong technical strength, excellent construction equipment, advanced construction techniques, and rigorous and meticulous scientific management, the Group has undertaken a series of landmark buildings both domestically and internationally, including the Shanghai Museum, Shanghai Library, Shanghai Grand Theater, Shanghai Stadium (80,000 seats), Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, China Pavilion and Performing Arts Center of World Expo 2010, Oriental Art Center, Twin Towers of Grand Gateway, Nanjing Zifeng Tower, Changzhou Passenger Transport Center, Wuxi Hongdou International Plaza, and Jinan Greenland Puli Center. The Group has also participated in major municipal projects such as rail transit, the maglev demonstration line, comprehensive renovation of the Bund, Hongqiao Airport comprehensive hub, and the inner and outer ring roads. In addition, the Group fully fulfills its social responsibilities as a state-owned enterprise by actively engaging in the construction of transitional housing for earthquake disaster area in Dujiangyan, Sichuan, multiple post-disaster reconstruction projects, as well as the renovation and repair of 'Sen'an Yuan' Phase I residential area, Longtengge community, Da Hongqiao Shashen Maosheng residential area, and the comprehensive renovation of residential buildings at Lane 11-15 Jiaochang Road, serving the society and addressing public concerns.
The quality and reputation of the projects undertaken by the Group are widely praised by owners, peers, and the public. It has won 24 national Luban Awards and 155 Shanghai Baiyulan Awards. With its excellent reputation and outstanding achievements, the Group has also been awarded as National Quality Management Advanced Enterprise, National User Satisfaction Enterprise, National Excellent Construction Enterprise, National Contract-honoring and Credit-standing Unit, National Advanced Enterprise in Creating Civilized Industries, Top 100 Competitive Enterprises in China's Construction Industry, Outstanding Contribution Unit for Shanghai Baiyulan Award, and Shanghai Civilized Unit.
