“敬修堂”始创于1790年（清乾隆五十五年），1956年公私合营为“广州敬修堂联合制药厂”，1992年12月改制为股份有限公司，是广州市首批转制的国有工业企业。其创始人钱澍田为吴越国王钱镠后人，澍田公以王阳明“心学”基础奠定敬修堂“敬业以精、修明唯诚”的精神之基。两百多年以来，敬修堂恪守“敬业修明、广施妙药、普济众生”的传统经营宗旨，成为国家商务部*批认定的“中华老字号”企业，亦是“广东老字号”和“广州老字号”。现敬修堂是世界500强广州医药集团有限公司下属的主要中成药制造企业之一，有着悠久的制药历史，是岭南中医药文化的重要组成之一。近年，敬修堂积极探索品牌年轻化建设。2019年起成为广州国际马拉松赛事的*医药支持商，并与广马赛事达成长期战略合作关系，不断焕发品牌年轻活力。
