Hunan Water Conservancy and Hydropower Construction Group Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as "Hunan Water Conservancy Group") was founded in 1951 and is located in Changsha, Hunan, a famous historical and cultural city, with a registered capital of 155.54 million yuan. Its predecessor was the Engineering Corps of the Hunan Provincial Water Conservancy and Hydropower Department. In March 1988, due to the institutional reform of the Hunan Provincial Water Conservancy Department, Hunan Provincial Water Conservancy and Hydropower Second Engineering Company was established; in November 1998, it was renamed Hunan Provincial Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering General Company, affiliated with the Hunan Provincial Water Conservancy Department. In December 2010, it was renamed Hunan Water Conservancy Group Water Conservancy and Hydropower Construction Co., Ltd., and in August 2012, it was renamed Hunan Water Conservancy and Hydropower Construction Group Co., Ltd. It is a first-class enterprise for general contracting of water conservancy and hydropower engineering construction, and also holds second-class general contracting qualifications for highway engineering, municipal public works, and building construction, second-class professional contracting for bridge engineering and highway subgrade engineering, as well as qualifications for the fabrication and installation of metal structures for large power stations.
