Texas Instruments Semiconductor Manufacturing (Chengdu) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as TI Chengdu) opened on October 13, 2010, and is the first wafer manufacturing base established by TI in China. TI Chengdu is located at No. 8, Annex 10, Kexin Road, Gaoxin West District, Chengdu, about a 30-minute drive from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport. The 8-inch wafer fab adds 23,000 square meters of production area, bringing TI an annual analog capacity of $1 billion.

In addition, TI is also committed to supporting basic education in poor areas of China: in Nanbu County, Sichuan, TI donated 30 multimedia classrooms and 20 library rooms to local primary and secondary schools. Meanwhile, TI launched a teacher training program, benefiting over 800 local teachers. TI's first Hope Primary School in China will also open to students in Nanbu County in the fall of 2012.
