Mission: Shell's mission in China is to power progress and co-create a net-zero future. Against the backdrop of China's 14th Five-Year Plan and the "30-60" dual carbon goals, Shell China will continue to adhere to a customer-centric philosophy, formulate energy transition plans, and integrate the product and service portfolio of Shell's business units in China to provide integrated energy solutions that help customers achieve decarbonization goals. We will work closely with customers, suppliers, and partners, exploring the boundless possibilities of low-carbon development with innovative thinking, achieving sustainable business development, and contributing to China's low-carbon future.

Achievements: Shell's core businesses have developed significantly in China. We maintain win-win partnerships with major Chinese state-owned oil companies, power companies, and research institutions, including China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec), China Guodian Corporation, and the Development Research Center of the State Council. We have established global strategic alliances with CNPC and CNOOC, with cooperation spanning traditional and renewable energy.

We are proud that Shell, together with its partners, has set numerous records in China's energy industry:

• Since acquiring BG Group in 2016, Shell has further consolidated its position in China's LNG supply;
• Shell supplies LNG under long-term and short-term contracts with local partners;
• The Changbei Project, developed with CNPC, has been hailed as "a banner for international cooperation in China's domestic oil and gas regions." Over more than 20 years of joint development, the project has achieved fruitful results in safe production, operational excellence, technological exploration, and investment management, with cumulative natural gas production exceeding 53 billion cubic meters;
• CNOOC and Shell Petrochemicals Company (CSPC) is one of the largest Sino-foreign joint venture petrochemical enterprises in China in terms of investment;
• In 2022, Shell launched a 20,000 kW electrolytic water hydrogen production project in Zhangjiakou, constructed by a joint venture established by Shell (China) Co., Ltd. and Zhangjiakou Transportation Construction Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd. During the Beijing Winter Olympics, the project supplied over 80 tons of green hydrogen to hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, meeting over 75% of the hydrogen demand for the Zhangjiakou competition zone;
• As of the end of February 2022, Shell China operates nearly 1,900 retail stations and more than 2,300 public charging points;
• Shell lubricants have been the global market leader in lubricants for 15 consecutive years;
• Shell Energy (China) Co., Ltd. (SEC) is one of the first foreign companies to participate in China's carbon emissions trading and one of the first foreign companies to register for participation in China's electricity trading market;
• Shell Energy (China) Co., Ltd. (SEC) is committed to providing stable and competitive natural gas supply to downstream customers in China through domestic natural gas/LNG trading and supply businesses;
• High-quality Shell bitumen products have been used in iconic projects such as Tiananmen Square and the area around the Bird's Nest in Beijing, Shanghai Disney Resort, and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, known as the "project of the century";
• Shell is also an international purchaser of energy services/equipment in China;
• In 2020, Shell's "Nature-Based Solutions" business invested in Environmental Bridge (Shanghai) Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. and established a joint venture;
• Deep and ever-strengthening cooperation with China's state-owned oil companies;
• Shell persistently carries out public welfare activities. Among them, the environmental education program "Meijing Action" has been implemented for 25 years, raising environmental awareness among millions of primary and secondary school students nationwide through hands-on participation.
