上海市静安区市北医院是一所集医、教、研、康复和急救于一体的二级甲等综合性医院，是上海市区域医疗中心，静安区三家中心医院之一，又是静安区北部紧密医联体牵头单位。医院由坐落于上海市共和新路4500号的总院、闻喜路1152号的分部、共和新路4452-4466号行政楼以及保德路599号科研基地四院区组成，开放床位618张。医院设有35个临床、医技科室。医院年门诊量近80万人次，年出院人次近2万人次，有效满足了周边近60万居民多发病、常见病、急诊救治和公共卫生需求。
医院坚持公立医院属性，勇于承担社会责任，遵循严谨、友爱、奉献、进取院训，已连续十五届获得上海市卫生系统文明单位，连续十四届获得上海市文明单位称号。
