To build a social education platform and fully leverage the resources and advantages of the century-old Shanghai Jiao Tong University in education, talent, technology, and information to serve society, Shanghai Jiao Tong University established Shanghai Jiao Tong University Education (Group) Co., Ltd. on August 4, 1999. As an independent legal entity, it develops lifelong education undertakings externally. SJTU Education Group has a registered capital of RMB 150 million and total assets of RMB 270 million. It consists of ten holding and participating subsidiaries and multiple schools and colleges, including Shanghai Jiao Tong University Nanyang Modern Education Center, Jiaxing Nanyang Polytechnic College, Shanghai Private Jiaotong Nanyang High School, and Kunshan Shangjiao Nanyang School. SJTU Education Group inherits the profound tradition of the century-old Jiaotong University of "high starting point, solid foundation, strict requirements, emphasis on practice, and pursuit of innovation," upholds the quality policy of "rigorous, practical, and innovative," focuses on international education and vocational education, continuously explores talent cultivation models, meets social education needs, and assumes social education responsibilities.
