MCC Construction Research Institute Co., Ltd. (formerly known as the Construction Research Institute of the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry, abbreviated as MCC Research Institute), established in 1955, is a large-scale technology enterprise in China engaged in the research, promotion, and application of construction and environmental protection technologies. It is affiliated with China Metallurgical Group Corporation. The institute currently has 16 entrusted legal entities, 15 wholly-owned subsidiaries, 9 holding enterprises, and 6 participating enterprises. It hosts 13 *platforms, 3 national first-level associations, 29 second and third-level academic associations, and 2 national industrial technology innovation strategic alliances. It publishes 3 core scientific and technological journals. It boasts 1 national engineering survey and design master, 2 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points, 1 joint doctoral training point, 1 postdoctoral research workstation, and 1 academician expert workstation. The institute employs over 4,000 staff members. Adhering to a focus on scientific research, MCC Research Institute has established two major R&D centers, one in Beijing and one in Shenzhen, forming a "one north, one south" layout. Since its establishment, it has won over 100 national science and technology awards, more than 470 provincial and ministerial-level science and technology awards, undertaken over 860 national, provincial, and ministerial-level research projects, accumulated over 2,870 scientific research achievements, compiled or revised over 474 national and industry standards and specifications, and obtained over 1,272 authorized patents (including over 424 invention patents).
