The Water Conservancy Design Institute originated from the Xiangxi Prefecture Water Conservancy and Electric Power Survey and Design Office established in 1979 and the Hunan Water Conservancy and Electric Power Engineering Construction Supervision and Consulting Co., Ltd. established in 1992. Its registered capital is 50 million yuan, and total assets are 150 million yuan. Among its employees, 23% hold postgraduate degrees, and 72% are technical personnel with senior or intermediate professional titles. It holds a full license portfolio in the water conservancy industry, including 25 qualifications such as Grade B qualification for water conservancy engineering design, Grade 2A qualification for water conservancy supervision, and Grade 4A qualification for water conservancy engineering testing. It has won 3 Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards and has completed a series of national patents, software copyrights, and provincial-level scientific research projects.
