China Energy Engineering Group North China Institute (North China Power Engineering Co., Ltd. of China Power Engineering Consulting Group, hereinafter referred to as North China Institute) is a large state-owned enterprise restructured from the former North China Power Design Institute of the Ministry of Electric Power Industry established in 1953, with multiple wholly-owned and controlled subsidiaries at home and abroad. In 2023, based on its strategic development goals, North China Institute successfully acquired Xiangtan Planning and Architectural Design Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Xiangtan Institute), strengthening market linkage among Beijing, Changsha, and Xiangtan. It will continue to deepen expansion in the urban construction business, striving to build Xiangtan Institute into the main force and vanguard of China Energy Engineering Group's urban construction business.
Founded in 1972, Xiangtan Institute is the first design institute in Hunan Province to combine international ISO standards with national standards to establish a QMS (Quality Management System) standard.
