Teemall (TEEMALL), under Yuehai Tianhe City, officially opened on August 18, 1996, and is the earliest large-scale shopping mall in mainland China. With 7 floors above ground and 3 below, Teemall covers a total building area of approximately 160,000 square meters, integrating shopping, dining, entertainment, leisure, and business. It houses Teemall Department Store, AEON Supermarket, cinemas, entertainment venues, restaurants, and over 200 brand stores. Since its opening, Teemall's customer traffic and business performance have increased year by year, continuously reaching new highs. It has become a premier destination for Guangzhou citizens and tourists to shop, relax, entertain, and sightsee. It has received dozens of honorary titles, including "Top Ten Civilized Markets in the Province," "Guangzhou's Most Fashionable Shopping Mall," "One of the Ten Demonstration Projects of Shopping Malls in China," and "Famous Trademark of Guangdong Province," earning the reputation as "China's Premier Shopping Mall." In 2018, Teemall's average daily customer traffic exceeded 210,000 person-times, with its customer flow scale and density ranking among the top 20 shopping malls nationwide. On the east side of Teemall stands Yuehai Tianhe City Tower (TEEMTOWER), rising 195 meters with a building area of about 98,000 square meters, featuring 45 floors above ground and 2 below. Construction began in July 2004, and it was put into use on February 1, 2007. Leveraging its prime location in the central business district and favorable trends in Teemall's economic development, the tower actively integrates with international standards, establishing a strong brand appeal in the market. It attracts quality tenants, including foreign consulates and Fortune 500 companies, and has received honors such as "Demonstration Building for Property Management in Guangdong Province" and "Demonstration Building for Property Management in Guangzhou." In December 2018, Yuehai Tianhe City Tower earned LEED Platinum certification, successfully joining the ranks of world-class super-grade A green buildings. On the west side of Teemall is Sheraton Guangzhou Hotel, a high-standard five-star hotel. Construction started in 2007, and it began operation in July 2011, managed by the internationally renowned hotel management group Starwood (under its Sheraton brand). The hotel boasts a total building area of 52,300 square meters and a main structure height of 140.58 meters, with 33 floors above ground, 445 guest rooms of various types, and five Chinese and Western restaurants. It also includes a conference center, banquet halls, a health center, a spa, recreational facilities, and a swimming pool. Currently, Sheraton Guangzhou Hotel's average daily room rate, revenue per available room, and occupancy rate have reached leading levels. Teemall Department Store under the Teemall Group has grown through a multi-format chain operation model, with eight stores: Teemall store, Beijing Road store, Dongpu store, Tianjin store, Panyu Wanbo Outlets, Dongpu Olympic Sports Outlets, Dongguan First International Store, and Nanhai Financial City store, gradually establishing a department store retail network in the Pearl River Delta region. Its subsidiary, Teemall Property, is dedicated to providing high-quality property management and commercial operation services for comprehensive large-scale shopping malls. With a national first-class property management qualification, it has received honors such as "National Model Worker Pioneer" and "Guangdong Province Model Worker Pioneer." In recent years, through its "one-stop commercial property operation management export" model, it has actively expanded new projects in the market, signing agreements with Zhongshan Dajin Commercial Center, Jiangmen Leyingli Shopping Center, and other projects. It also established Guangdong Tianyu Commercial Operation Management Co., Ltd. as a joint venture with Guangzhou Metro, undertaking the operation and management of the Nanhai Financial City project.
