Wuhan Industrial Innovation and Development Research Institute

Wuhan Industrial Innovation and Development Research Institute was established in June 2021. It is a new-type research and development institution sponsored by the Wuhan Municipal People's Government. It is a public institution legal entity that is not included in the scope of institutional establishment verification, has no specified institutional rank, and is not allocated public institution staffing. It implements a president responsibility system under the leadership of the council and adopts enterprise-style management and market-oriented operation.
As a comprehensive high-level scientific and technological innovation platform, WIDRI is committed to doing "what the government cannot do, universities will not do, the market is unwilling to do, and enterprises want to do but cannot do, yet scientific and technological innovation must do."
