China Equipment Group Shanghai Electrical Control Research Institute was established in March 1986. It is one of the important member units of China Equipment Group Co., Ltd., the only unit stationed in Shanghai by the Group, a council member of Shanghai Science and Technology Industry Association, and an enterprise technology center of Yangpu District, Shanghai.
Rooted in Shanghai, building dreams in the city. The Shanghai Electrical Control Research Institute has always shouldered the sacred mission of "strengthening the military to serve the country, strengthening the enterprise to enrich the people". With fire suppression and explosion suppression technology, photoelectric rotation technology, Beidou navigation technology, electronic countermeasure technology, and cognitive communication technology as its main professional directions, it has established three major technology platforms: the Beidou Satellite Positioning and Navigation Engineering Research Center of China Equipment Group, the Special Mobile Equipment Research Center, and the Dew Point Meter R&D Center. Many types of equipment developed by the institute have participated in the military parades for the 60th anniversary of the National Day and the 70th anniversary of the Victory of the Anti-Japanese War. It has formed a collaborative R&D system across Shanghai, Wuhan, and Nanjing, holding more than 120 patents and winning more than 100 provincial and ministerial-level science and technology progress awards. It has also been awarded the titles of "Shanghai Civilized Unit", "Shanghai Model Unit for Safety", and "Shanghai Integrity Creation Enterprise" for many consecutive years.
