Hunan Dongying Carbon Material Technology Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise integrating research and development, production and sales, and application services of high-performance carbon material products. The company is an industry-university-research base of Hunan University, including one R&D headquarters and three production bases. The R&D headquarters is located in Changsha National High-tech Development Zone, Hunan Province. Its subsidiaries include Yueyang Base (Hunan Dongying Changlian Technology Co., Ltd.), Shaoshan Base (Hunan Jijing New Material Co., Ltd.), and Pingjiang Base (Hunan Dongying Special Carbon Pitch Material Co., Ltd.). The company's business includes two sectors: pitch-based carbon fiber and thermal insulation materials. It has completed and put into operation a 20-ton/year mesophase pitch-based carbon fiber production line and a 1,000-ton/year carbon fiber thermal insulation material production line, and is building a 2,000-ton/year high-purity carbon fiber thermal insulation material production line. Its main products include mesophase pitch-based carbon fiber, high-purity carbon fiber thermal insulation materials, special pitch, and carbon fiber composite materials, which are widely used in high-tech fields such as aerospace, 5G communications, photovoltaics, and third-generation semiconductors. With a high-level R&D team and complete process equipment technology as its core competitiveness, the company has applied for more than 80 patents, with 58 authorized. It has been approved as a national-level specialized and sophisticated "Little Giant" enterprise, a Hunan Provincial specialized and sophisticated "Little Giant" enterprise, and the Hunan Provincial Pitch-based High-performance Carbon Materials Engineering Research Center.
