Wuhan Port and Shipping Development Group Co., Ltd. is a large state-owned port and shipping enterprise group, jointly funded and established by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commissions of five cities in southeastern Hubei, including Wuhan, Huangshi, Huanggang, Ezhou, and Xianning. The company was officially established on August 1, 2015, with a registered capital of 7 billion yuan, and its headquarters is located in Wuhan. In accordance with the requirements of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, the company seizes the opportunities of the "Belt and Road" initiative, the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and the construction of the Wuhan Yangtze River Middle Reaches Shipping Center.
