Hubei Water Conservancy

Hubei Water Conservancy and Hydropower Construction Co., Ltd. was approved by the People's Government of Hubei Province and established in December 2003 through restructuring and reorganization on the basis of three public institutions including the former Hubei Provincial Water Conservancy and Hydropower Construction General Company. In November 2014, after China Environmental Publishing Group Co., Ltd., a central enterprise directly under the Ministry of Environmental Protection, invested in Hubei Water Conservancy and Hydropower Construction Co., Ltd., Hubei Water Conservancy became a mixed-ownership enterprise controlled by a central enterprise (state-owned capital) with employee shareholding. With the advantage of the Zhonghuan platform, the company's development has turned a new page.
The company currently holds a Grade I qualification for general contracting of water conservancy and hydropower engineering construction, a Grade II qualification for general contracting of municipal public engineering construction, a Grade II qualification for general contracting of housing construction engineering, and a Grade II qualification for specialized contracting of waterway engineering. It also holds a qualification certificate for foreign contracting engineering, enabling it to carry out overseas engineering contracting and international economic and technical cooperation. The company has successively passed ISO9001:2008 quality management system certification, ISO14001 environmental management system certification, and occupational health and safety management system certification. It is a AAA credit enterprise for water conservancy and hydropower engineering construction. The company's main business includes the construction of various types of dams, power station buildings, water diversion and discharge structures, navigation structures, foundation engineering, river diversion and closure engineering, sand and gravel production, metal structure fabrication and installation, levees, pumping stations, tunnels, highways, bridges, river dredging, irrigation, drainage, municipal engineering, and housing construction, as well as waterway engineering construction.
The company has a registered capital of 300 million yuan and currently has more than 1,100 employees, including more than 700 young employees and 267 senior and intermediate technical management personnel, among whom there are 10 professor-level senior engineers, 71 senior engineers, 48 Grade I registered constructors, 161 Grade II registered constructors, and 46 cost engineers. It is equipped with more than 200 sets of various construction equipment for both on-water and on-land operations, possessing strong technical and construction capabilities with an annual construction capacity of 3 billion yuan. By the end of 2014, the company had successively undertaken more than 500 large and medium-sized reservoirs, power stations, sluice gates, spillways, etc.; more than 200 river dredging and reclamation projects; and more than 300 other water conservancy, industrial and civil construction, and municipal projects, and has won more than 60 awards of various kinds.
