Guangzhou First People's Hospital

Guangzhou First People's Hospital was founded in 1899 (the 25th year of Guangxu), with a history of 126 years. The hospital has been selected for many years in the "China Hospital Competitiveness • Top 100 Hospitals Ranking" and ranks among the top three in the "China Hospital Competitiveness • Top 100 Provincial Capital Municipal Hospitals Ranking". In 2021, it entered the 18th place in South China in the Fudan Version of China Hospital Ranking. It is one of the first batch of Grade III Level A hospitals in Guangdong Province, a key construction hospital under the "Summit Plan" for high-level hospitals in Guangdong Province, and a construction unit for high-level and research-oriented hospitals in Guangzhou. In 2024, it was approved as the first hospital in Guangzhou to have the qualification of "Internationally Accredited Standard Hospital". It currently consists of three campuses: the main campus, Nansha Hospital, and Hedong Branch, with synchronized development across the three campuses. It has 2,970 approved beds. In 2024, the total number of outpatient and emergency visits was 2.8815 million, and the total number of discharged patients was 113,600. It has a research platform of the Medical Research and Innovation Transformation Center covering 3,000 square meters.
