Guangdong Salt Industry

Guangdong Salt Industry Group Co., Ltd. evolved from the Guangdong Provincial People's Government Salt Affairs Bureau established in 1949 through several organizational changes. It is a wholly state-owned enterprise supervised by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Guangdong Province. Its business service network covers 21 prefecture-level cities and 122 districts and counties across the province, bearing the social responsibility of ensuring the quality safety and supply security of table salt in Guangdong Province, as well as the economic responsibility of maintaining and increasing the value of state-owned assets. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, focusing on serving the overall economic and social development of the province, adhering to the principles of "based on salt" and "based on land," it strengthens the development of the main table salt business, expands the condiment industry, promotes the combination of revitalizing existing assets and advancing new industrialization, and actively explores new prospects for high-quality development. Entering a new stage of development, the Group focuses on the specific deployment of "1310" by the Provincial Party Committee, based on the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and strives to promote the transformation and upgrading from a single salt industry to a modern food industry.
