Sinopec Fifth Construction Co., Ltd., established in 1953, was formerly known as Dalian Engineering Company. In 1956, it relocated to Lanzhou City, Gansu Province to participate in the initial construction of Lanzhou Chemical Industry Company (now Lanzhou Petrochemical). On December 18, 2010, it officially moved to Guangzhou. Its business scope includes "four major and one special" capabilities: large-scale equipment hoisting, large-scale transmission equipment (units) installation, large-scale storage tank installation, large-scale DCS distributed control system installation and commissioning, and special material welding, as well as large-scale boilers, large-scale air separation, oil refining, polyolefins, methanol, coal chemical industry, etc. It has first-class qualifications for general contracting of chemical and petroleum engineering construction, foreign engineering contracting qualifications, qualifications for foreign economic cooperation operations, and design qualifications for building industry (construction engineering) Grade B and petrochemical and pharmaceutical industry (chemical engineering, petroleum and chemical product storage and transportation) professional Grade B, and is currently applying for "special grade qualification for general contracting of petrochemical engineering construction". The current workforce is nearly 3,000 people, among whom 900 have obtained various professional and technical titles, nearly 100 have obtained national first-class or second-class builder certificates, and nearly 1,000 are engaged in various management and professional technical work.
