Pfizer (China) Research and Development Co., Ltd.

On October 31, 2005, Pfizer announced the official opening of the China Research and Development Center (CRDC) in Shanghai. The Pfizer Global Research and Development Center is mainly engaged in drug development activities. Much of the facility's capacity is devoted to the study design, data management, and statistical analysis of global phase I-IV clinical trials, as well as the clinical study report process. In addition, CRDC is a part of Pfizer Global Safety and Risk Management and covers the functions of safety data processing and assessment. The center also trains Pfizer employees in China and throughout the Asia region in internationally recognized Good Clinical Practice standards. On October 31, 2005, Pfizer announced the official opening of the Pfizer China R&D Center in Shanghai. The Pfizer China R&D Center primarily provides support for global Pfizer drug development. Most of its functions revolve around the design of Phase I-IV clinical trials, data management, biostatistical analysis, and partial preparation of clinical trial reports. In addition, the center is a branch of Pfizer's Global Safety and Risk Management department, responsible for safety data processing and evaluation. The R&D center will also provide technical training in internationally recognized Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards to employees of Pfizer's other operations in China and Asia.
