Pearl River Economic Radio is the first radio station in China to adopt a large-scale block host live broadcast model. It is a pioneer in China's radio reform and is praised in the industry as the "Pearl River Model". Pearl River Economic Radio primarily broadcasts in Cantonese. Since its launch on December 15, 1986, it has repeatedly set records in China's radio industry, including the first hotline phone program, the first outdoor live studio, the first sea-land-air three-dimensional outdoor activity, and more. Over the years, it has consistently ranked at the top in listening rate surveys across the province and central cities (Guangzhou region). Pearl River Station has 17 relay stations across Guangdong Province, covering a population of over 100 million people.
