Johnson & Johnson (Suzhou) Medical Devices Co., Ltd. was established in 2006 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson in China. The decision to locate in Suzhou Industrial Park was based on its excellent infrastructure, highly skilled workforce, abundant human resources, and convenient domestic and international logistics channels. The company is designed as an industrial park model with diversified business functions. Currently, the park includes manufacturing plants, shared service centers, and R&D centers, and provides supplier identification and information technology support for multiple Johnson & Johnson companies.

DePuy is the first brand to enter the Johnson & Johnson Suzhou Industrial Park, with a total investment of US$100 million. The plant produces implants for joint surgeries (hip, knee, and shoulder) and spinal surgery products, and is planned to become one of DePuy's largest plants globally. DePuy has over 100 years of history in designing, manufacturing, and producing orthopedic surgical medical devices, and its products are approved for sale in more than 70 countries and regions.

The Johnson & Johnson Global Financial Shared Services Center (Asia Pacific) (Suzhou) began operations in October 2008, with a professional team of about 170 financial personnel. It provides financial services in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting for mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea.

The Johnson & Johnson Medical Asia Pacific R&D Center entered the Johnson & Johnson Suzhou Industrial Park in 2010 and officially opened in June 2011. It focuses on medical product development and fully supports technological innovation to meet the unique needs of patients and customers in emerging markets in the Asia Pacific region, particularly in China and India.

In addition, the Johnson & Johnson Suzhou Industrial Park also includes regional procurement and supplier identification management, information technology services, and other operating segments. In the coming years, other Johnson & Johnson brands and projects will successively enter the park, and the total land area of 278,000 square meters will be fully utilized and developed.
