In September 2015, the company licensed the overseas rights of its proprietary PD-1 biological innovative drug for tumor immunotherapy to the US company Incyte Pharmaceuticals, with an upfront payment of $25 million and milestone payments totaling $770 million, marking the first time a Chinese enterprise transitioned from importing US biomedical technology to exporting innovative technology. In 2016, the company successfully introduced an oncolytic adenovirus product from Japan's Oncolys BioPharma, supplementing its tumor immunotherapy pipeline and enhancing its competitiveness in the anti-tumor field. At the same time, the company is accelerating the overseas clinical progress of its innovative drugs. Currently, PD-L1 innovative drugs are undergoing clinical studies in the United States and Australia, aiming to ultimately achieve overseas sales of innovative drugs. Leveraging Hengrui Pharmaceutical's financial, technical, and talent support, the company will build and improve its commercial production and process development teams, hiring professional technical talents at all levels, with doctoral, master's, and returnee high-tech talents accounting for over 80% of the workforce.
