Shanghai Minhang District Dehong Private School

Shanghai Minhang District Dehong Private School is a twelve-year school for Chinese students, located in the Qizhong Villa Area, Maqiao Town, Minhang District. On the basis of implementing the Shanghai Phase II Curriculum Reform, Dehong School, through cooperation with international curriculum experts, has developed a series of school-based curricula that integrate advanced international educational concepts and teaching methods, providing Chinese students with an international education that blends Chinese and Western elements.
The name "Dehong" is derived from the "De" of Dulwich and the "Hong" of Yung Wing. Yung Wing, known as the "Father of Chinese Students Studying Abroad," was the first Chinese graduate of Yale University and a pioneer in promoting the education of young Chinese in the United States, pursuing the ideal of saving the nation through education. Descendants of Yung Wing co-founded the Dulwich Education Group, whose Dulwich International Schools span four countries and seven cities in Asia, renowned for outstanding academic achievements and holistic education outcomes.
Dehong School is the first international school that organically combines the Chinese curriculum with Dulwich characteristics, tailored for Chinese students. Dehong School and all Dulwich British International Schools are sister schools, jointly receiving academic guidance and accreditation from Dulwich College. The school is led by Principal Fei Jianhua, a special-grade English teacher, former Vice Principal of Suzhou High School, and former Principal of Suzhou Lida Middle School.
Dehong students will also have opportunities to exchange and collaborate with students from around the world, inspiring each other's learning.
